Q: How do I update a notebook BIOS in Windows Vista?

A: Read the BIOS ReadMe.txt file to determine the location of Winphlash.exe.

If you already are running Windows Vista™, right-click Winplash.exe, and then click Run as administrator.

Click Allow "I trust this program I know where it's from or I've used it before".

Note: If you do not follow these instructions, the BIOS will produce an error and will not finish the update.

The location of the BIOS file may in different locations, or may be in a separate folder named BIOS Files.
For example: C:\Cabs\7808\Winphlash\BIOS Files\7808.wph

If the BIOS cannot be found, Click Browse and change the location to the BIOS Files folder.
