How do I burn a data CD or DVD in Windows Vista Media Center?

To burn a data CD or DVD in Windows Vista Media Center, use the following steps.

1. Press the Windows Media Center Start button on the Media Center remote control.

2. Select Tasks, and then burn cd/dvd.

3. Place a blank CD or DVD in the burner drive.

4. In the Select Disc Format window, select Data CD or Data DVD, and then select Next.

5. In the Name This CD window, specify a name for the CD or DVD, and then select Next.

6. In the Select Media window, select the appropriate option, and then select Next.

7. The next screen varies, depending on which option was selected. Find the appropriate files and then select Next.
   • Recorded TV
   • Music Library
   • Picture Library
   • Video Library
   • No thanks, I'm finished

8. In the Review and Edit List window, make any appropriate changes, and then when ready, select Burn CD or Burn DVD.

9. In the Initiating copy dialog box, select Yes.

10. The disc is created. If you wish to do other tasks in Media Center, select OK.

11. The disc is finished burning. In the COMPLETING BURN dialog box, select the desired option.
