Windows Defender

Windows Defender is a program that helps protect the computer against pop-ups, slow performance and security threats caused by spyware and other potentially unwanted software.

Use the following steps to open Windows Defender:

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click All Programs, and then click Windows Defender.

    Note: Windows Defender can also be opened by typing Start Search keyword Windows Defender.
