Creating a Dial-Up Network Connection in Windows Vista

To create a new Dial-up connection in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click Connect To.

  2. In the Connect to a network dialog box, click Set up a connection or network.

  3. In the Connect to a network dialog box, click Set up a dial-up connection.

  4. In the Set up a dial-up connection dialog box, enter the appropriate information, and then click Connect.

  5. The connection attempts to dial out.

  6. If the connection is successful, the following screen appears. In the Set up a dial-up connection dialog box, select Browse the Internet now.

  7. In the Set Network Location dialog box, select the appropriate option.

  8. In the Set Network Location dialog box, click Close.
